    Pros

Salary and benefits were better than other comparable insurance employers. Vacation/personal time off was good in comparison to other employers.

    Cons

Operational policies seemed to change often and at times without adequate prior notification to employees whose jobs required frequent interface with external customers. It was frustrating to be expected by management to handle customer needs without clear, concise direction.

    Advice to Management

Please be honest with employees about the corporate need to down size. Management discussed the need to stream line doing business but never admitted the intent to eliminate jobs when asked. I understood that you did not want cause panic within the organization but the decision to make massive job cuts is not something randomly done overnight without the forethought from management at multiple levels within the organization.

    Pros

    Relatively good salary and benefits.

    Cons

Communication within the corporation was lacking in all areas but especially in workflow through outsourced section of business. Problems with English language capabilities as well as required documents necessary for federally mandated paperwork.

Heath G. Schiesser is no longer leading WellCare.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate outsourcing of essential documentation handling.
