Professional, smart and committed colleagues

Cons

Frequent organizations (feels like everymonth)
Senior management are out of touch
Inefficient processes
Currently in "survival" vs. "growth" mode

Advice to Management

Change must start from the very ground up, from the perspectives of our members and our providers

    I have been working at WellPoint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good place to learn, member interaction is daily with opportunity to improve teaching and interviewing skills. Good place to upgrade your computer skills, increase your ease with diverse medical issues and doing diosease management.

    Cons

    Chaotic environment, disconnected bosses, no advocacy for direct line staff. Manager dtreats people as objects. Intimidation rules the way with this company management though most of the direct line staff are caring, hard working people- they get no respect and have little say. Senior Management does not even show respect of managment/ The VPs change every 6 months.

    Advice to Management

    focus on quality of member care and not your profits all the time, metrics are all that matter to management
