I have been working at WellPoint full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Coworkers, flexibility, paid time off

Cons

Organization in constant flux, tons of lay offs, everything is being outsourced, no sense of stability whatsoever so low sense of loyalty to the company now...didn't used to be this way

Advice to Management

Instead of "restructuring" every 6 to 12 months, how about sticking with a plan long enough to see if the changes have any effect? The place reorganizes so often there's no time for changes to take hold and to measure results before the next reorg. Lay offs have been sweeping and brutal. Treat your employees with more consideration and respect.

    Pros

    I am sorry but I cannot think of any Pros.

    Cons

    You will be micromanaged, raises and promotions are not based on your performance but on whom you are friends with. If you are a "favorite" you can get away with anything.
    This is a health insurance company, but with the insurance choices they give you for yourself, you will not be able to afford to use your insurance....

    Advice to Management

    sending out surveys on if your managers are acting ethically makes absolutely no difference if you never act on the results
