I have been working at WellPoint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Highly competitive compensation while working for a national company and numerous opportunities for advancement. Many positions qualify for partial or full-time work work at home.

    Cons

Company reorganizes frequently. Staff VP and higher titles have trouble staying with the organization for more than 3 years on average. Frequent re-orgs make it difficult to hold people accountable to goals because failures are then passed on to the next leader.

    Advice to Management

Focus on continuity of management. This would allow you to engage the best talent, leverage the broad knowledge in the company and would cause contributors to see their work as something they will have to stand behind vs. something that can hand off to their successor in the next re-org.
