Pros

401k match up to 6% is nice. Opportunities for advancement. Competitive salaries. Excellent benefits package offering medical, dental, vision, etc.

Cons

The management is absolutely horrible. They only care about how many checking accounts they can get opened. They give you 21+ days of vacation but you can't take it in January, May, or June. They treat their employees like crap. I don't know 1 person that actually likes their job or is proud to work for this company. The commission structure has changed 3 times in the last 2 years and a person making $30,000 in commission before now makes $10,000. They are losing top sales people left and right and replacing them with people with no experience whatsoever

Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and respect the vision and values that Wells Fargo has. Work/life balance is more important that getting someone to open a new checking account.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Financially solid company. They will hold on to even the most incompetent employee as long as they are liked by management. If you want the prestige of being a 'banker' without knowing much of anything about it, Wells Fargo is perfect for you.

    Cons

Office politics dominate everything. The favorites are the ones who get the promotions, perks, rewards, and recognition. If you are not a brown-noser, you will not promote anytime soon. They expect every single Personal Banker to be a robotic salesperson, not taking customers' feelings or priorities into consideration. If you underperform, you WILL hear about it very quickly.

    Advice to Management

Level out the playing field. Just because you don't know somebody too well doesn't mean they are not qualified to promote and advance in their career.

    Pros

They have a great benefits packadge

    Cons

The management team is not behind the telling staff, customers are trained that it is "ok" to yell/scream/curse at the staff.

    Advice to Management

The management team should take security concerns more seriously and higher more compitant staff.
