Approves of CEO

Pros

- Competitive pay and benefits
- Good management
- Work for one of the great companies in the US
- Gives new college-grads opportunities
- Opportunity for advancement

Cons

- Long hours during crunch time
- High-volume, high-stress environment
- Co-workers sometimes under qualified (incompetent)
- Large corporate structure gives little voice to the average employee

Advice to Management

Not too many complaints. It would be best to be a little more careful with hiring for the higher level positions. Vertical corporate structure a symptom of a fortune 100 company: leads to slow change and inability to adapt quickly.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Stability, growth, good culture and promotion from within.

    Cons

A very large corporation. For any considering working here, you will really have to stand out to advance with sales numbers and performance if you plan to advance. The further down the pecking order you are, the more true this is.

    Advice to Management

The company is very profitable. It would be great to share more of this with employess as is done with shareholders. There could be more internal incetive comp such as stock options or bonus pool to reward performace. There are many people in market growth and performance that are passed over for these incentives because they are not client facing.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Benefits are great. Have met some great people - coworkers and customers. Diverse company that wants to value its people. People are competive advantage is one of their catch phrases.

    Cons

Sometimes the sales focus is so aggressive the customer is not the priority. Worked for Wells in another city and it was so different than in Houston. There is a definite disconnect between upper management and what goes on in the locations. Also scheduling - sometimes do not receive until day before!

    Advice to Management

Communication needs a lot of improvement. Listen to your team. Inform your team. Give praise as well as criticism. Share successes. Daily huddles should be a time to prepare for a successful day not to point out everything the team does wrong. Your teams deserve the best you can offer.
