Pros

Great work life balance. Good benefits, 5 weeks of vacation. There is lots of opportunity to move around within the company and it's encouraged. Very fair. Formal review process. You always know where you stand.

Cons

Large company with decision making being slow and multi-leveled. It can take a while to get things done. Many people who work there have worked there for years. There seems to be a lot of dead weight. It can be difficult for those who aspire to move from the store branches to corporate offices.

Advice to Management

Empower lower levels of management and make a greater investment in IT.

    Pros

Wells Fargo is a big employer so you get chance to work with different business lines such as credit card, auto lending and home equity within one company. You do not need to leave Wells Fargo while still having chance to move to different business lines.

    Cons

It is too big. Sometimes left hand does not talk to right hand

    Advice to Management

Wells Fargo is lack of consistent culture and working style across board. The company is not running very efficient since a lot of business lines are actually running like an independent company. There is no central HR or standard hiring process, so different groups may compete for the same candidate...Business lines lack of communication and seldom learn from each other.

    Pros

Big company with lots of opportunity.

    Cons

Wells Fargo does not like to hire temps full-time, and while temping you get none of Wells Fargo benefits or incentives. Wells Fargo also does not value their temporary employees. I introduced myself to a Senior Manager the other day, and this person snubbed me like my very existence annoyed this person. Unfortunately many people have to take what they can get right now. At least it's a job.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the contractors who suck, and hire your performers full time so we don't leave for a better paying job with benefits.
