"Satisfying, but not blown away."

Pros

Wells Fargo is a great company to work for. They have decent compensation programs in comparison to the other banking companies out there. The benefit of working in a large firm like Wells is the ability to jump from location to location. If there is an opening in San Francisco, you can jump from Walnut Creek, Oakland, or wherever else to that position (granted that you qualify for it).

Cons

Because it is such a large company, it is hard to get recognition sometimes; as with all big companies. However, this isn't too big of an issue because if you continue to excel, your efforts will be greatly rewarded.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

An incredibly talented and committed group of people recently completed an enormous and complicated merger. The people and cooperation that made that happen, have made this a satisfying and exciting place to work.

    Cons

Now an internal reorganization is under way which is going far less smoothly with policies enforced that have little or no relation to reality of all the organization. Good people have been let go. More are considering leaving.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bonuses if you made quarterly sales goals
Good pay if hired outside (horribly low within)
Benefits - 401k, insurance, PTO (18days first year)
    Free accounts - no fees

    Cons

For the most part your experience working here will be influenced by your upper management (store and district mngt). I worked under people who had no clue what they were doing, and just because you are a great sales person...DOES NOT mean you are a great MANAGER. Working here is all about SALES SALES SALES. At first it was hard to get used to it, but after awhile it becomes second nature. I did not mind the sales aspect, but eventually had to leave because of the unnecessary added stress from the management every day!

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees, especially when they are doing their job and more! Results are very important, yes but at the end of the day...if you don't have happy employees, you won't have your results.
