I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

-Great pay, national bank, branches in 49 or all 50 states, I believe.
-Good benefits, dental, vision, health.
-Many banking services, it really can be a one-stop shop for customers.

Cons

-Frontline telephone bankers just transfer customers to sales department for the stupidest reasons, and you're supposed to get a sale out of them. If the person has $4.50 in their account, there is NOTHING that I can offer them.
- Hours. Was given a 12-9 schedule. Made it horrible for work/life balance.
- "coaching" sessions, you'd listen to your mistakes with manager and would get no feedback on how to improve.

Advice to Management

Focus on the customer. Don't make sales bankers push products to customers who clearly can't afford them/need them, this results in many closed accounts.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

401k is matched by the company. Health care is provided. Room for growth. Good for people who like to meet and interact with people on a day to day basis.

    Cons

Depending on the region, growth opportunity maybe limited do to bias management. To much gossiping in South Florida region and jealous that may negatively affect your career. Long work hours cause imbalance in personal life that will leave you no time for anything. Extremely sales driven, to the point where customer service is no longer top priority. As a banker, I wasn't provided a desk to see customers and was still expected to meet high daily goals. Was only allowed to assist in fellow team member in obtaining their daily goals. Some management and team members perform unethical behavior to meet sales goals, such as opening accounts without customers consent.

    Advice to Management

Time to go back to the basics.

    Pros

Most of the people are great. Dynamic experience working with different business types, sizes and stages.

    Cons

Changing compliance requirements, changing policy, too much change. Weak systems.

    Advice to Management

Allow RMs to focus on clients, not compliance.
