No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Quick promotions if you do your job well and network with the right people. This is not the place that you want to work if you are interested in finding a secure job to stay in for years with annual pay increases.

Cons

Constantly changing sales goals to make bonuses harder and harder, with less pay, each quarter. Salaries low compared to other banks.

Advice to Management

Lower and mid-level management seems to be at the mercy of unnamed corporate members who make it harder and harder to get bonuses. It is disheartening when the company is making record profits to get quarterly notices that your job just got harder.

I have been working at Wells Fargo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great entry level position for college grads and even those without college education

    Cons

The loan program at Wells Fargo is complete chaos and you never can find answers to your question so don't ask management. They want you to do whatever it take to approve a loan and have it fund ever if you have to do some shady things, but they just don't want you to get caught.

    Advice to Management

Find out the truth of the problems within your company before you go off and terminate people and using just the managers word.

    Pros

Started off as a fun and clean work environment with fun co-workers. Good resume builder.

    Cons

Too much red tape. Too much politics. Bonuses and commissions were not worth the time or the effort. Simply not enough money to be made in this place. No real money here. You can make much more money in a similar position with one of WF's competitors. They forced you to put up numbers that didnt make sense. Essentially forcing you to provide banking products to customers that didnt need them.
