I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company seems to be all about the employees and doing the "right" thing for customers. They offer a lot of development opportunities, benefits, and support for their own employees. Very quick upward mobility, if you consistently exceed your sales and customer experience goals. This company has a belief of training and retaining their "best" people. Customer satisfaction surveys keeps the employees engaged and be mindful of their customer relations skills.

    Cons

Banking is not for everyone. The base pay for their positions is lower than Chase's and Citibank. The incentive pay for WF heavily relies on customer satisfaction surveys (5 or nothing) and sales goals. The sales goals are so aggressive, that it leads the employees to turn to unethical practices to reach them, while the management turns a blind eye to these said practices. The managers even sometimes teach them these practices, but when someone gets caught, they immediately abandon them.

    Advice to Management

The company needs to enforce their code of ethics a lot better. The company seems to strongly stick to it's code of ethics on the corporate level, but branch management does not follow it as strongly. A lot of people get fired over gaming, because their managers let it happen. If one employee is gaming, chances are, the rest are gaming as well.
