I worked at Wells Fargo as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

Many of the employees of the International group have been with Wells Fargo or a previously acquired bank for more than 25 years.
You are treated no differently working at Wells Fargo as a contractor than as an employee..

Cons

Rarely are contractors hired as employees.
This office is located in Old City Philadelphia, which make the commute & parking very expensive.

Advice to Management

Hire some of the contractors who are required to leave after 18 months. A lot of talent is being overlooked. A lot of time and money is spent when contractors are replaced & the new ones have to be retrained.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good compensation, good job opportunities, solid future prospects.

    Cons

communication with senior management was lacking the rumor mill was more accurate than what was actually communicated.

    Advice to Management

Hire the correct people up front and the site would have been fine. Instead, the site was shut down due to all of the problems associated with less than ideal employees.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Teach and promote from within. Very supportive of all diversity; most active diversity council. Whole company spends 2 weeks doing charitable fundraising and volunteer work. Can spend your entire career here and do different jobs each couple of years. Great education and commuter subsidies

    Cons

At the time, lack of ability to work remotely for most. That may have changed by now. Culture was somewhat old-fashioned.

    Advice to Management

Work-life balance; focus on benefits that provide flexibility. Keep up the support of diversity and charitable giving. More matching of employee giving but that may have changed, too
