I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

collaboration, culture, benefits, diversity, openness to new ideas, great work-life balance. Great place to gain experience. Felt 'at-home' when at work here and was taken care of. Given lots of responsibility.

Cons

low to moderate compensation level, risk averse. Company needs to get asset management salaries more competitive.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Solid company and good overall work experience to take to another employer

    Cons

This is a solutions based preformance environment. It's said that the customer come first but in reality the bonus structure is based soley off of solution or production. In reality it shove as many products done the throat od the client that you can. Wheather they will ever need or use them. In essance open as many relationships as possible with as many fees to be charged as possible. Additionally the bonus structure is almost impossible to earn.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the client oriented structure. Base performance on client relationships and actual performance not the current what have you done for us only attitude

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They've been around for a long time, so job security is good. Also, after the merger with Wachovia that started in 2008 and seemed to last FOREVER, they are finally done with their merger-related layoffs. Also, they are more likely to hire an external applicant rather than promote from within. I guess this is a "pro" and a "con" at the same time.

    Cons

You feel like "just a number", and not like a real person. They rate you low on your annual reviews so then they don't have to give you raises.

    Advice to Management

The Q12 surveys need to be implemented more. What I mean by that, is... they need to take the employees' concerns seriously.
