I have been working at Wells Fargo as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

I am currently working as a contractor and nearing the end of my contract. The position pays fairly well for the market and I enjoy the environment. I an with Wells Fargo Advisers, specifically focusing on the brokerage division. I would say the overall office environment is a 7 out of 10 and the "hands off" approach I enjoy is a 10 out of 10. As I believe it should be. Proof is in the pudding, if you aren't delivering what is asked for, then we will talk. Otherwise, do what you need to do. Part of this relates to the department being spread between St Louis, Richmond and Charlotte.

    Cons

The downside to "Hands off" is there isn't much "On-boarding." If you need help you may have to ask. Sure we need to know our profession, but day one, I was unsure where the bathrooms were, where I could get a coffee cup, where to get desk supplies. I learned this over time but for an introvert this may be a little difficult.

    Advice to Management

Probably a little more guidance for on-boarding. If you want new people to help with the workload. Take a step back for a day or two to teach them the ropes. Rather than letting them flounder for weeks.
