Pros

Interesting work. Great senior management team.

Cons

No work life balance. Poor middle management structure on the finance side. Employees are not recognized for their accomplishments and are asked to sacrifice personal time for the convenience of middle management.

Advice to Management

You have a great company filled with talented people. Take the time to evaluate middle management or better yet conduct 360 reviews to find out what's going on in the trenches. Take advantage of the technology available and allow for more flexible work schedules across the company. For example, if 'summer hours" are being offered to all employees don't allow certain departments to exempt themselves from allowing it under the guise that they are too busy. With the excessive amounts of hours worked during peak times, such as month end, quarter end and year end, a 1/2 day off when things are quiet should not be an issue.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

can be a great place to work while young. A place to meat new people.

    Cons

like any other job it can become a chore to come to work if subordinate managers have poor or limited management skills. as in anger issues with employees or the job its self.

    Advice to Management

work on building up your subordinate managers. They are the ones crew has to deal with most if management is there your crew will be there. Management basics here

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Quality of life is good. Forty hour work weeks is normal, with two days in a row off. Wendy's has a fair but low paying bonus program.

    Cons

Slow growth. The average time to become a district level manager is 15 years. Way too long when the turn-over at the GM level is 150%.

    Advice to Management

District level management need to teach theory by being good at the theory. I have never seen a district manager that can keep up the pace.
