Pros

The company offers competitive salary and it has great benefits. The corporate office is located in Pasadena which offers many ammenities nearby.

Cons

Although the company emphasized respect as one of it's values, the company laid off 100+ employees without any respect of even letting employees to return to their cubicles to pick up their personal items and to say good bye. Employees were accompanied by their supervisors to the HR department. Within 1/2 hour, employees were escorted out of the building like criminals by security guards. It was a horrible experience!!!
The company offered little career growth; it was a dead end job. The company is not loyal to its employees; employees are not loyalty to the company.
I worked for a department and a boss who constantly demanded more and more of my performance. It was never enough.

Advice to Management

Practices the company's values such as respect for its employees. Offers career growth and opportunities.

I worked at Western Asset Management as an intern

    Pros

Great structure; weekly lunch meetings with heads of departments; one-on-one training; good pay; located in wonderful Pasadena

    Cons

Work can be a bit repetitive, but you'll get that anywhere as an intern
