Pros

Diverse group of people to work with

Cons

Try to lowball you on the salary, little to no chance to move into management if you don't already start there

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Western Digital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Large public company - looks good on a resume if you can survive

    Cons

Management promotes workaholic reputation as if it is a badge of honor. Working to all hours of the evening and sending emails past midnight, through weekends, during vacations, etc. is viewed as the minimum requirement. Abusive management tactics are overlooked as long as that manager gives their all to the company. I have personally viewed multiple instances of reprehensible management behavior in public settings that could and should be reported as employee abuse. Many colleagues have escaped this company over the past 12 months and none have regretted their departure.

    Advice to Management

Take a long, deep look at your corporate culture. It is no coincidence that so many strong employees are fleeing Western Digital for more humane working conditions. Promote managers that can truly lead and inspire, not those who try to lead through fear and intimidation.
