Cons

Slow trucks and whinny dispatchers who think truck drivers are beneath them rem we are the ones who make this company work

Advice to Management

Hey fuel dept quit turning truxks down there set at the factory for a reason also its called a suggested route also treat us drivers like human beings not just a truck number

I have been working at Western Express full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Operates newer Trucks than the average trucking company

    Cons

Home time? what a joke!, pay @.28 per mile?, still laughing, do you consider medical insurance with a $25,000 per year cap to be decent insurance? The majority of drivers who work here are homeless. Driver managers are clueless and the planning sucks! Drivers are lucky to get 1700-1800 miles per week! Who wants to work here except the homeless?

    Advice to Management

Western became a training company after Wayne Wise passed. They hire anyone and everyone, but mostly the homeless. Management needs no advice, its part of the business plan!

    Pros

I enjoy getting a paycheck every week. I like training people. It is nice to have someone to talk to.

    Cons

No adequate home time, Now they want to charge the drivers a $1 a mile for going out of route.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. Get them home when you say you will. And try to put yourself in their shoes.
