    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Great, dynamic Leadership that's totally connected with employees. Management consistently makes the effort to go the extra mile recognizing and encouraging employees at all levels and creating "extras" like a health and wellness fair.

There are a lot of just plain good people - smart, hardworking individuals who genuinely care about each other.

    Cons

Somewhat limited opportunities for growth unless you are willing to move to global headquarters in Denver (brrr...). Also, there's a tremendous amount of work involved and a bit of a workaholic culture.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

"The company is going through a centralization phase - all roads lead to Denver."

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Strong market position, company association does open doors, esp. in pursuit of a JV or marketing program.

    Cons

Over reliance on agents to do work, plus company is in the middle of a centralization kick (as of June 2010). Consider: when you have to approve a $1000 trip for business reasons, management appears distrustful.
If you're going to work for Western Union, make sure you are in Denver or have a clear path to a position there if considering a career. Company does not innovate well, seems to prefer buying innovation.

    Advice to Management

Use some of that available cash to actually invest in new technologies, and don't be afraid of agents. Consider decentralizing decision making.
