I worked at Weyerhaeuser full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Weyerhaeuser promotes a world class safety culture. They're ahead of most facilities in technology and lean manufacturing. They provide a great place to learn about fast paced automation.

Cons

They don't provide assistance for education. The retirement plan is a little above poor at best. Odd shifts including weekends for skilled labor.

I worked at Weyerhaeuser full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay, Holidays, Vacation, Flexible around some family needs, 401k, Health Insurance.

    Cons

Higher management plays musical chairs at times, doesn't do a good job of recognizing work done by hourly and salary employees outside of home office.

    Advice to Management

Continue to trim current businesses, but don't be afraid of purchasing better positioned businesses from other struggling companies. Reinitiate R&D, and new product development.
