    Pros

-Ability to be trained in wardrobing
    -Easy to get hired
-Great starter job if you have no bills and just live at home with your parents
-4 times a year you get the 50% associate discount which is great to buy some beautiful pieces. Which is really the only way to afford most the full price clothes.

    Cons

-Inconsistent hours: One day you have a shift 5pm to 11pm then the next day they schedule you to open at 9am. They schedule you for 20 hours one week then call you when your off to get more hours. Then when you are scheduled for 35 + hours they also call you to cut. It's very annoying.
-Very unprofessional and sneaky about giving secret promotions to associate to sales lead. Only the store manager knew who got promoted but didn't even bother telling or consulting with other management members and the sales associate didn't know until maybe after a week or from word of mouth. Why not just hold a store meeting to discuss the new promotions why make it a secret like you did something wrong?
-Store manager calls the store on her days off and when she leaves constantly to check the numbers and harrass all the employees always micromanaging. Sometimes she calls up to 4 times or more a day.
-You have to wait a year for a raise.
-Inconsistent and unclear communication about current and changing policies. When customers complain that we can't take certain returns from the boutique store and the outlet it makes us look like a bad for not being able to take but that is what the company wants. But how can we give the most amazing personal service when we don't have any type of authority to do so?
-They repeat alot of the same types of designs and patterns on all there clothes it's like the creative team or whoever is in charge of designing the clothes just stopped trying. Customers constantly complain about the change in the clothes that it seems to be too casual sometimes. Focus on classic pieces like pants suits and pencil skirts and white and black essential pieces.
-They don't seem to really take an interest in the well-being of the outlet stores and how they keep changing everything about the Signature brand that seems to be cheaply made and full price which is not what people want at an outlet. Do better promotions to sell the brand better at the outlet.
-Very pushy about getting the e-mail capture to the point it makes you want to just quit. Some people just don't want to give out the e-mail.
-Should pay more for people that speak 2 languages which is very essential when you work at an outlet.
-Stop making the environment all about being greedy and getting the best sales. Instead you should focus on training everybody so that we can all make all sales for the day and keep everyone happy. I notice alot of times management turns a blind eye when sales associate take sales and don't do anything about it because they just care about the numbers not about the morale of the associates in general. Get everybody on the same page to help build up and encourage each other. So if one person if struggling with there sales we should make it more about being part of a team and I don't feel they encourage team work at all.
-Management are so caught up trying to make there sales plus other paper work etc. that they pass off all the work onto the unsuspecting sales associate therefore you can't make your goal because your busy taking care of there customer in the fitting room and cashing them out and signing them up for black book just so management can get the credit for it and you can't complain about it to anybody. Management alot of times are good at getting sales by not finishing a sale and passing it off and it gets old after a while at least team sale it if you know if your heart you did nothing except have the title of the management so you know no one is gonna confront you or tell you to your face that your wrong because they are afraid you will write them up when actually the manager should be written up for taking advantage of the sales associate like that.

    Advice to Management

Treat people like human beings. I do think it's tough standing on your feet for so long and let people take a quick 5 min. break to rest there feet stop micromanaging every minute. Focus more on wardrobing when the store is slow and nothing else to do. Management should have a better system to deal with stolen sales. Maybe there should be a way in the computer that management can transfer a sale to someone else once it has already been rung up.

As for upper management they need to get it together with the constant changing of policies. People get used to things being a certain way and when you change it up on customers it really upsets them. So maybe you should sent out a newsletter in the mail or in the e-mail to give customers a heads up because believe me when they come into the store and learned that something has changed they tend to take it out on the sales associate that is only getting paid some mere 8 dollars an hour. We are not paid to deal with angry upset customers especially when they want to use there coupons at an outlet. Let them use there coupon if you want to truly keep people happy because sometimes they leave with a bad taste in there mouth because they don't understand why the Outlet won't honor a coupon that is clearly for WHBM brand. Give people there discounts so that they actually end up spending more at the outlets instead of them taking there business to a boutique so the outlets don't lose out on that money that we could've capture.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Work life balance. Discount. Cute Clothes

    Cons

No additional training, Company tends to run lean so sale comission changed 3 times in the 2 years i was there. Alot of repeat clothing (same thing just reverse patterns). Boring, not challenging, as a manager i felt more like a sales associate with keys. I crave higher volume arenas where i can manage processes and help customers. The processes to manage at WHBM are so basic or straight forward that i truly felt I was an overpaid sales associate.
