I have been working at WhiteHat Security full-time (More than a year)

Pros

- Fun work environment, and people are friendly
- Very open to changing processes dynamically
- New higher level execs are pushing major boundaries and helping to bring about great growth in the company, they're doing a great job so far.

Cons

- Some management are stuck in their old ways of being a very small company
- Sure, growing pains are there, but that can sometimes be used as an excuse for some subjects, like pay rates for technical positions.
- No real performance grading, and some management aren't very responsive. This is changing soon according to HR, but we'll see.

Advice to Management

Focus more on developing current products, and fixing current issues instead of constantly trying to keep up with competitors who probably don't even have the products they boast about.

I have been working at WhiteHat Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The rank and file at WhiteHat are great people to work with. This is a fast-moving company with good technical learning resources.

    Cons

Low pay in some departments. A middle management layer promoted from within spends much more time working than managing. The reality of corporate politics is improving, but still causes problems.

    Advice to Management

Please work on pay and recognition improvements to retain veteran employees.

I have been working at WhiteHat Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They are in growth mode and constantly hiring.
There are a lot of fun people to work with.
There are a lot of learning opportunities.

    Cons

A lot of politics for a company at this stage.
Not always rewarded for hard work.

    Advice to Management

Train managers to help push up employees and help them excel. If you are going to hang promotions or money to incentivize work, actually deliver or don't offer. Offer some sort of education reimbursement so employees can self improve.
