I have been working at Whole Foods Market full-time

    Pros

    Decent Benefits
    20% discount
    Not a very difficult job

    Cons

It seems like such a great company on paper, but it has been nothing but a letdown. There is no consistency with the schedule and we don't get the schedule for the following week until Thursday so it makes it very difficult to plan anything in your personal life with 3 days notice. I understand you have to work weekends in retail, but I haven't had a weekend off in 6 months and not having any set days off is extremely frustrating. The team leaders seem very inexperienced and sit up in their offices all day instead of helping their team. There are never enough people scheduled to work and the list of things you are expected to get done every day is overwhelming and unrealistic.

    Advice to Management

Really look at who you are hiring for Team Leaders. Inexperienced, unprofessional managers can really ruin the experience for a lot of new team members.

I worked at Whole Foods Market full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really nice co-workers, treat employees well, good benefits, fair reviewal process for increases in wages

    Cons

team leaders tend to be unfriendly and intimidating. Was sexually harassed by a coworker, and when I reported it they never fired the guy. I had to leave the company because I was so uncomfortable about that.

    Advice to Management

You shouldn't ask for proof for sexual harassment - most of the time, when a person is being sexually harassed, they are being targeted ALONE, when no one else is watching so that the harasser doesn't get caught.
