Complete Lack of Integrity, Honesty & Ethics - Senior Recruiter WideNet Consulting Employee Review

Pros

I've never before or since worked for a company like WideNet Consulting. The two owners have had an extremely high turnover rate amongst internal employees and have some pretty unscrupulous business tactics. The compensation was not competitive and during my tenure with the company, they had a tendency to renegotiate commission at will (not in the favor of recruiters). If you're looking for a recruiting, account management or business development position, you should ask pointed questions during your interviews about why they've had so much turnover and why they have several very negative reviews available online.

Cons

Dishonest business practices, very money oriented leadership, toxic internal team climate. Lack of value for professional ethics.

I am not sure if you worked here while I've been in my role here as COO. I would like to get more specific information about your negative experience. Obviously, I have not observed the things you comment on, but I realize perception is important and reality and perception can only be changed if we know specifics. I am new to the leadership team and would love your input so that if anything is true, it can be addressed. Curt Whitton COO curt.whitton@widenet-consulting.com

Pros

As a contractor, felt like benefits and flexibility were fair. Company was transparent in changes in benefits. Onboarding was smooth. Available for questions any time things came up on project.

Cons

Had more insight/info with client vs. Widenet which can be normal with different groups.

Pros

It's better than collecting unemployment

Cons

- Recruiters violate WA state law by not divulging pay ranges, instead continuously dodging the question and asking "what are you looking for" - Submitted my pay requirements to their client incorrectly, then refused to fix - Never return calls when specifically asked to escalate employment or pay matters internally - Claim that WA state sick leave is paid by their client. It is not, is paid by the company (WideNet) - No PTO - No paid holidays - None of this was disclosed to me at the outset - Recruiters and Account Managers will simply lie to your face and expect you to thank them and ask for more
