Pros

Pretty good & upbeat management team.
Flexible schedule based on you availability.
Can be a fun place to work if you get along with people.

Cons

You are replaceable, if a manager does not like you they will find a reason to fire you, weather they have just cause or not. (This happened to a friend of mine, he got athletes foot from the resort, came to work with a doctors note saying he should not get into the water, they sent him into the water anyway, and when he complained later he was fired. He was able to collect unemployment because his case worker agreed that he had been wrongly fired)
High stress. (If someone drowns in your area of responsibility legal action will be taken against you, If someone gets hurt or becomes ill to any degree you have to respond quickly & not make any mistakes or you will be demoted/fired)
Long exposure to chlorine can be detrimental to your health.

Advice to Management

Switch all pools to saltwater cleaning systems.

    Pros

Flexible Schedule. Great Reward Programs and Acknowledgement. Cross-train in multiple locations of the resort. Employees get to be consistantly working with people from different backgrounds each day.

    Cons

Lack of training. Limited benifits. Management very rude and unprofessional to other employees, managers, and even the customer. Lack of empowerment for associates. High turnover rate. Toxic culture.

    Advice to Management

Put in place a better training program that allows employees feel comfortable with their job and also empower employees to be able to create memories with guest and have fast recoveries when the guest is having a negative experience.

    Pros

Depending on your director, they might look out for you.

    Cons

Depending on your director they might not look out for you.

    Advice to Management

Start giving back to the employees. Employee rewards are a joke.
