I have been working at Wiley full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Emphasizes work/life balance. Stable: only recently have bigger changes happened. Lots of good people in the company.

Cons

Disconnected senior management. Too slow to evolve. Poor place for younger talented people to move up.

Advice to Management

Empower your best people, not just your oldest.

I have been working at Wiley full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great, friendly colleagues!!
    Near the Orange line
So much PTO time - great work/life balance

    Cons

Malden, MA is not a great place to go every day -- office tends to be freezing~
    Low pay

Company is going through a tough time (with the publishing industry in general) and therefore management has been cutting back -- trying to do more with less. Makes the day-to-day very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Invest in technology for the future, pay attention to your current employees for promotions/advancement; better communication with employees, be more transparent

    Pros

Good/timely communication from project editors. Nice steady work load. Able to work remotely. Organized and straightforward.

    Cons

Not much feedback from editors on about how to improve work. Loss of work due to sudden budget cuts or company needs. Low pay rate for work being done.

    Advice to Management

Follow up on requested feedback. Be open to pay increases. Make effort to personalize virtual/remote work relationships.
