Pros

The pay is decent; the benefits are decent; opportunity is there to grab, although promotion can be achieved through kissing the right asses; overtime is readily available; it is a company that is currently growing world wide.

Cons

In times of economic turmoil, as has happened else where, Williams Lea has performed layoffs in great mass; first relocating employees, then cutting them loose suddenly and without warning.

Advice to Management

Try to avoid meddling in the minor work events of the day. If a particular job is sensitive or more important, please delegate the overseeing of the project to someone you trust to see it through; and then only check in with that person. Do not get involved in the execution of the job in any way. If you do it will only cause confusion as to how things should be done; rather than focusing on the end goal.

    Pros

Salaries are competitive. A decade ago, promotions at the corporate office were possible from the sites to the corporate office. Promotions within the corporate office were frequent when I was employed there.

    Cons

Different culture than when it was a young growing company. It seems corporate is much more distant to site employees. Site employees have more loyalty to their site than to Williams Lea.

    Advice to Management

Change the culture. It seems former employees of Pitney and Canon were hired into Williams Lea. Williams Lea was a great small company when it was Donnelley Business Services.

    Pros

Good clients, good people to work with not much else

    Cons

Only feedback one ever gets is when they make a mistake. Going above and beyond is never recognized. Just about a dead end company to work for

    Advice to Management

Use williams lea as a stepping stone for a career in management. Good for experience but not good for a long term career choice. Management goes through the motions but doesn't care about the people that work under them so no advice in the world would change the management culture at williams lea
