Pros
Management is very accessible and frequently demonstrate they care about employees. The engineering staff and specialists are capable, helpful, and accessible. There is a well defined path for company growth which is shared with everyone in the company. They ship completed projects! It's refreshing to see taxpayer money used to buy software that actually works. Work life balance is great, events are well planned and inclusive.
Cons
Deployment strategies and infrastructure were lacking; Troubleshooting human error is not a fun engineering task. Everyone writes and troubleshoots SQL, so the data layer does a lot on larger projects. This was a con from a tooling and troubleshooting perspective for me, but may not be for other engineers.
