I worked at Wipro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I was based at a client location and never worked at any Wipro location.

    Cons

Policies, benefits and salary can be reduced anytime. They suddenly decided to reduce my salary by labelling me as a non critical employee. This was done while I was billable to a client and had always been billable during my tenure with this firm. The line manager said that its some Wipro policy that is not documented anywhere. HR says that its the line manager's fault as the Line manager has labelled me as non critical. And the account manager says that both the line manager and HR have caused this issue. This blame game went on for about a month and I was eventually told that the reduction in salary cant be rolled back. I quit asap.

    Advice to Management

I am still not able to understand how this has benefited the firm. And the senior management is not accesible. Looks like a bunch of juveniles have taken over reins of this firm.

Current Employee - Technical Lead in London, England (UK)

    Pros

The company is process oriented. It is a SEI CMMM I level 5 company. Some of the policies are good.

    Cons

It has very less pay for the employees and some of the strategies it uses for cost reduction has backfired

    Advice to Management

Please treat the employees fairly and in terms of compensation the company has to look at industry standards and atleast try to match them if not cross them
