I have been working at Wireless Lifestyle full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Its a great place to learn the sales world, the core values are unmatched, if you follow them, you should be successful. The brotherhood of a store.

Cons

We have such a wide variety of knowledge we must know in order to help customers (example customers assume we are cell phone gurus and can repair any application or phone feature on the spot). They slashed our commission by at least 30%, even though we were already taxed 30%.

You will feel trapped if you stay long, the relationships you build with other reps will make you feel obligated to stay in the event a store becomes short staffed (which happens often because of the turnover rate). In turn you and 1 or 2 people will be responsible for maintaining hours as usual while management hires someone else.

ive been with the comapny 2 years. First year was amazing, second year dramatic downfall.

Advice to Management

Stop taking money from your reps, things such as charge backs, csat deducts, and commission reconstruction. If you are hurting from money, stop getting sued. This is money that should be eaten by the company, dont take it from the people making you money. Especially the good ones.

    Pros

You will have such an array of work thrown your way (all under top priority) - it is guaranteed to make anyone's resume impressive.

    Cons

Been at the company for a long time and have watched it go from a fun, people-person company to an employee chop shop. It has become a dog eat dog work environment. There is very little guidance, training, accountability and praise that comes from the high ups - CEO, VP's and Regional Managers. They blame employees in the field for their high employee turnover but never self-examine themselves, their implemented policies or procedures. Most people hate their jobs everyday. In an effort to be a number 1 preferred retailer for sprint - they have become number 1 in being the worst company to work for. Make one mistake and you will be hung out to dry.

    Advice to Management

You have completely forgotten where you came from. The things you prided yourself on as an employer are no longer existent. Treat the sales people who earn your mighty dollar for you and work long hours - a little better and show some praise and appreciation when something is done well. Stop focusing on the negative all the time and quit making every single thing a top priority. While you're off playing golf or sucking down drinks from a suite at the royals or chiefs game - someone is out there working their butt off - missing their family life for YOU.
