Pros

You are surrounded by very knowledgable people in a friendly, open collegial atmosphere.

Cons

Advancement to the higher ranks is very unlikely unless you are Scottish. This is true especially in the Americas.

Advice to Management

Beware the nepotism and cronyism

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Wood Group PSN (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good wages and good OT rates if you get it.

    Cons

You need to be "friend of a friend" or relative to get any advancement. People who haven't finished school and cannot even speak proper English are promoted because they are neighbours, friends, drinking buddies etc to the current management.

    Advice to Management

Not really any advice. The Management in Newcastle needs to look at Rosyth operation and get rid of all of the current Managers, Supervisors in Composite Services and hire people who actually have abilities and experience to manage people not just to rule by fear and intimidation.
