Pros

The company is very employee oriented. It is a overall great place to work with good benefits and a fair amount of work in not so good economic times. Always employee oriented and always doing out of office things to better the work environment. There is a very nice office and lots of great food in the area.

Cons

Engineering can be very stressful at times, and the company takes into consideration all the benefits of being an employee when deciding salary ranges. Jobs are typically under budgeted which brings more stress to the project and makes for a rush sort of product.

Advice to Management

Managers could do a better job of keeping on top the overall project budget. There are never enough hours budgeted to complete projects. Efficiency is lacking in all aspects and a lot of hours are spent on repeat work.

    Pros

Life / Work balance. They are very supportive and the push you to try harder. There is lots of room for growth and advancement. Everyone here likes what they do. The big plus is that they try to not limit you to one role. You can pick how and where you grow into the company. Want to learn something new with in the company? Just ask and they will make it happen.

    Cons

It's consulting, so it is all about billiable hours. Benefits package is mediocre at best. How good you do is greatly dependent on who is in charge of you. Hours can get tough, but this is true for any consulting firm.

    Advice to Management

    Being Billable is overrated.

I have been working at Woodard & Curran full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Offices share projects and tasks between revenue centers quite more than other firms I've worked for
-A great deal of consideration and time is given towards professional development, with a lot of freedom for an employee to choose the direction/skills they would like to acquire
-Most PMs are sensitive to their staff's work/life balance and allow for flexibility in scheduling

    Cons

-Some PMs (note these are few) aren't very fun to work for (disorganized etc), most of these are not in the HQ but in other offices.

    Advice to Management

Make all PMs go through the same training so they can be held to the same standards, more consistency between offices!
