Pros

No Pros - really unfortunate as this should have been a great job. The page wouldn't let me give a Zero review rating.

Cons

The internal companies (WFS and Watsons) seemed to be doing anything they could to put obstacles in the way of each other doing anything. If you needed help, resources, assistance the default answer was always "No" There are a core of "Golden employees" who seem to rise effortlessly through the company without having any real talent or value. If you get on the wrong side of them then your days are numbered. These people can be spotted easily as they seem to get a new job title every 6 months which has either Director, VP or SVP in it. The senior leadership team will make a scapegoat out of anyone who puts their head above the parapet. Often these heads will roll to keep Miami happy, so they can say they've taken action when really they're just saving their own skin. Too many in senior management don't actually have any substantive experience of working in the fuel industry.

Pros

World Kinect has strong brand recognition in the energy sector and access to valuable customer data. There are talented individuals across different teams who genuinely want to improve processes and drive results. The company also has established relationships with large enterprise clients, which creates potential for growth if leveraged correctly.

Cons

One of the biggest challenges is the lack of a clear, modern vision for marketing and how technology should be used to drive growth, improve customer experience, and reduce churn. Marketing is often treated as a support function rather than a strategic driver of revenue, and there is limited investment in the tools, data infrastructure, and experimentation needed to build scalable demand generation and lifecycle programs. Decision-making can feel reactive rather than strategic, and there is often a disconnect between leadership priorities and the realities of modern digital marketing. As a result, opportunities to leverage data, automation, and customer insights to create measurable growth are frequently missed. Another concern is that advancement and recognition sometimes appear to be influenced more by internal relationships than by performance or talent. This can make it challenging for high-performing employees to feel fully valued or to see a clear path for growth within the organization.
