I have been working at WorleyParsons full-time (More than a year)

Pros

As an EPCM company, WorleyParsons is pretty good at landing diverse contracts, which lends to a pretty stable working environment. (Which results in fewer layoffs in down times.)

Cons

Perhaps they should concentrate a bit more on the assets they do have, instead of continuing to acquire more companies. Also, some of the ideas coming from Head Office are Australia-centric, which might not work in other areas of the planet.

Advice to Management

I have been working at WorleyParsons as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility in work assignments and work schedule. Management has been very willing to accommodate my intended career development path and worked hard to accommodate my particular work place environmental concerns and special needs.

    Cons

Standard multi-national EPCM company, so it has all of the bureaucratic nonsense and ridiculous overhead, but if you have come to terms with how stupid all of that is, then there is nothing more wrong with this company than any other comparable company.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourself. You're nice people, but you aren't worth the hassle you create. Unforunately, true vision and radical change is so absent in this industry that you have secured your continued existence by the failure to imagine why you aren't necessary.
