Everyone is very friendly and accepting and there is a great company culture here. Management is highly encouraging of a healthy work/life balance and the work is fun and challenging.
The good part is work life balance because the people are laid back. But some people are abusing that. Some people don't care if they will be able to meet the commitment. Mowing a lawn so that it will not get fine from HOA is more important than finishing the task on time. A team lead tolerates that and if you're upset then they will tell that you don't have leadership skills. There are people with an inflated job titles. I don't have problem seeing people getting the promotions. But if the title doesn't match with skills and experience, then I don't think it helps the organization. For a software engineer, Wunderkind has a lot of legacy system. During my time there (2021 - 2022), I didn't see the engineering leaderships were successfully modernize the system. I think it's really difficult since Wunderkind is a services company, not really the technology company. Wunderkind always provides a custom solution to their client, and a lot of decisions and directions are made by non engineering leaders
