I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Nice new buildings and facilities (cafeteria, gym, etc)
Many nice, caring people

Cons

Too bureaucratic, impossible to make real changes
Lack of focus, too many initiatives with no strategy, and no real leadership
Work life balance is way out of balance
Lack of trust, people work in their silos and don't work together

Advice to Management

Practice what you preach

    Pros

    Lots of opportunities from 15 hotel brands, good pay scales, good personnel.

    Cons

    Company is quick to change operating direction with little or no input allowed from field employees. Upper management did not use the experience of their field employees to improve site results on an ongoing basis.

    Advice to Management

    Make hotel QUALITY, both physical as well as service, a much bigger day to day focus. Accept only quality from existing as well as prospective owners and locations.

    I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The co-workers are wonderful and most of the guests coming in and out. Great benefits, good pay when you can make your numbers as a Resort Host. Nice working environment.

    Cons

    Production standards are weekly and if you don't meet them you are written up constantly. The ratio of numbers for non-owners is very hard to meet. You are paid per tour. Revolving door of great employee they keep firing. Their system is broken. Plan to work most week-ends.

    Advice to Management

    You are losing great employees and your system is broken. If it's so easy, why are you constantly re-hiring and re-training, which costs $$$, and for what? The majority of the employees can't reach the goals you project.
