I worked at Wyndham Worldwide part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The offer a good pay and good hours. Each week had free food, seminars, and amazing offers. I personally took advantage of their vacation offers that allowed me to visit my choice of their properties across the world

Cons

A little too informal. Computer systems obsolete - could really benefit from upgrading their computer programs

Advice to Management

Be better structured for your employees. Empower them to talk with you and help make the company better

    Pros

Like the hospitality brand, Wyndham is a beautiful campus that is always looking to improve. People are friendly; the campus offers services like dry cleaning, car wash, grocery pickup, etc. The work is as fun as it can be, the hours aren't miserable, and everyone is supportive of your work-home life balance.

    Cons

With that, comes a salary below many other industries. The salary and bonus scale is unimpressive until you are at a Senior Vice President level. There is no stock option opportunity for employees

    Advice to Management

Stay consistent with the brand-- the brand identity is the strongest thing Wyndham has to offer.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time

    Pros

    Build your experience, your connections

    Cons

HR rules and it's not pretty. Lots of teambuilding and educational seminars and encouragement to "grow," but if your boss behaves badly, please look the other way, and don't take the HR folks up on their promise to ensure "Wyntegrity" (favoritism, unethical conduct, etc). They'll discipline you for whistle-blowing. Kind of scary for those who appreciate transparency. Corporate culture favors immaturity, much like middle school. Management sit at the cool table, and if they like you you're in. This of course will have less to do with your talents than with your ability to accommodate the fragile temperaments (and occasionally, substandard professional qualifications) of your superiors.

    Advice to Management

The best leaders are associated with inspiration, not intimidation.
