I worked at Xanterra full-time

Pros

The National parks are some of the greatest scenic places to visit and spend time at. You have time when off work to explore the park and area. There are a lot of good people who come there to work.

Cons

Xanterra does not pay overtime until after 48 hours at some of its places. So a minimum wage worker will give up a free day, work long hours to keep the resort running smoothly but get no extra pay for their dedication like in the world right outside the park. It is extremely cheap thinking on management's part. An extra $30 would mean a lot to a minimum wage worker but instead it goes to the owner, BILLIONAIRE Philip Anschutz. How much is enough ? How stingy can a company be ?

Advice to Management

Corporate management has little understanding or care for what happens in the parks themselves. They should really visit them more often to see and stay in employee housing when they do---not the finest suites the parks have to offer ! They are accountants who care mostly about the bottom line no matter how it hurts the employees who do the work

    Pros

I worked at Yellowstone National Park. If you like nature and a pacefull and quiet place to work, thats the right place....It's great too for people you could know, awesome people from around the world.

    Cons

a lot of people working at summer, so you won't make a lot of money...

    food sometimes is a disaster....

    Advice to Management

employees should make more money, especially for the worst jobs.

employees should improve the food. i.e. when I worked was impossible to me find real eggs...
