I worked at Xerox as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

Nice and very talented employees.

Cons

Management is out of touch. Pay and benefits are terrible. Morale is low and people are always wondering if today will be their last day. Management cares only about itself and doesn't support jobs of those on the front lines.

Advice to Management

Get rid of Ursula Burns. She only cares about the company shareholders and not the people who do the work every day. Many employees have not had a raise in 5 years and vacation and benefits are among the worst of any major company.

    I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Technically, Xerox offers a lot of opportunities and training. First and second-level managers really care, but corporate just wants to cut budgets and jobs. Local managers try really hard to make sure our schedules are flexible and value our home life.

    Cons

    Compensation is not considered important to keeping employees, just attracting them... that is until you are an executive. Medical coverage is TERRIBLE. Upper management do not have a clear strategy nor do they communicate it well.

    Advice to Management

    Take the same pay freezes you are giving to employees.
