I worked at Xerox full-time (More than a year)

Pros

My peers were great people. Corporate benefits were good and cheap. Decent bonuses, when they were paid out.

Cons

Up to 70+ hours a week with zero to no recognition/pay/appreciation. No pay raises. No performance reviews. Lack of processes built out in the company.

Advice to Management

Start over.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some pockets of great talent and groups

    Cons

Constant memos on cost controls but you do see an unbalanced spending for really lower value add activities (e.g. roadshows, marketing events, etc.) A very disparate salary scale and they take advantage of the middle-grade employees. Many small perks are slowly deteriorating to the point of below average of market (e.g. pay for your own parking, decrease in matching 401k) . Very old-school thinking and infrastructure, especially IT. Not cohesive and out-dated IT infrastructure and strategy. As with all large companies, all things move slowly. HR is a hinderance to progress. Many people stay because all the good people end up leaving so that the bottom feeders stay to become top managers. Finally, the C-suite is for lack of better words, arrogant and ignorant to the employees and incredibly de-motivating.

    Advice to Management

A new, smarter and visionary CEO like a Louis Gerstner is needed.

Unrealistic targets for activity and sales, no respect for work life balance

    Advice to Management

Improve quality of interactions not quantity
