I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Xerox is a more mature, integrated, diverse, and better known company than ACS. Xerox executives have been engaged with the marketing of the services that ACS brought to the merger.

Cons

Xerox continues to allow Xerox Services (formerly ACS) to maintain its culture and conservative business practices. While anticipating further integration into Xerox, it is slow, methodical, and requires patience. In the meantime, there have not been raises within Xerox Services in many years, and because of stockholder pressure and the slow economic growth, raises and 401K matching in Xerox Services is only now showing some signs from management to being assessed.

Advice to Management

Many staff have sacrificed for Xerox Services/ACS and have borne the burden of the financial impacts. Organizational improvements and investments in the people will have payouts, and integration of divisions, departments, procedures and standards across the company will improve the ability for staff to perform their work and gain significant performance improvements. Infrastructure technology is lagging and causes difficulty to provide the services within and external to the company.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The amazing people who are being used and thrown aside every day.

    Cons

Ursula Burns and a focus to enrich herself, offshore everything, contribute to the demise of the working class. Xerox Services model as relates to human capital. Utter lack of communication or care about the people that do the work. Worst benefits. No pay raises for the past number of years. No investment in the technology required to even lure customers. Everyone working on the oldest software, oldest computers... even finding pens and paper is difficult.

    Advice to Management

I still cannot figure out why the board hasn't fired Ursula yet. Stock has been down the tubes for years. I've worked for Xerox for over 15 years, and honestly there was that one time when stock hit 12, but its been in the tank since.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Virtual work environment
Co workers attitudes despite environment created by corporate leadership
    Excellent technology
    Evolution to services

    Cons

Leadership obsession with boosting share price at any cost
Overt disregard for employee well being
    Continually increasing workload
No compensation increases for many years
Cancellation of all employee recognition programs

    Advice to Management

If not reversed in a meaningful way, the nearly complete disregard by senior leadership for the employees as people and as fundamental contributors to the success of the business will result in the long term failure of this American icon.
