Approves of CEO

I worked at Xerox full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Focus on continuous improvement and increased productivity.

Cons

Too much reorganization activity year after year. Do your best to get it right. Expanding upper management one year, downsizing the next - then repeat? Stop the madness.

Advice to Management

Lots of talent in Managed Services - should consider making these resources the Sales Lead in the accounts and train them same as you do field sales. Wasted resources.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, hands off management, well-rounded coworkers, friendly environment, freedom to be a self-starter, job security for entry through mid-level engineers, opportunity to learn new technologies, good inter-team dynamics across a very large engineering organization

    Cons

Little room for personal career growth, no longer provides employee training, long-term outlook is questionable, massive layoffs every year, strong push by upper management to outsource current projects, no clear direction for the company, low pay

    Advice to Management

Commit to solid strategy, value employees with competitive salaries/bonuses/raises/profit-sharing instead of lip-service, stop outsourcing

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Xerox full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very professional atmosphere, never any voices raised or loud arguments. In the lower levels opinions and suggestions are taken and often utilized for improvement in processes.

    Cons

Limited advancement especially once pigeon-holed in you field. Across the board no raises or bonuses for years and it will continue.

    Advice to Management

Times change but you are tasked for ensuring the company can change with it. Achieving profitability through closure of manufacturing operations and job lay-offs is not the appropriate way to stay in business especially when senior management is a "proponent of saving American jobs".
