I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Xerox is a market leader and has outstanding brand recognition. Xerox values diversity and works to maintain a balanced work force matching the demographics. The People are the greatest asset.

Cons

Future direction, lack of leadership, annuity based compensation. Xerox's compensation is no longer competitive and the sales training is average . The benefits have become average at best.

Advice to Management

Create a clear roadmap for the future

    Pros

    Offer overtime, sometime it mandatory.

    Cons

To many to count. No insensitive to do a good job. I work in division that takes calls for a very very large cell phone carrier. Training is poor on many programs needed to do job. So learning curv is on actually calls with actual people's and businesses money and services on the line. Supervisor act put out if employee asks for help. Employees are actually reprimanded for asking for help in some cases. Continued training is basically pep rallies with very little useful info. Employees are continuing bombarded but serveral superiors on even the smallest blunders even to the point of threatening employees job but those same supervisors are never around when help is needed or questions need answered. All that matters in the call handle time and 3 surveys, if call is going poorly it become a game of who can we transfer call too so the department doesn't get a bad survey. Once a rep has had 3 surveys supervisor will literally cry out over the call floor to get the calls as short as possible and to cut corners. HR is a joke I have personally had to cancel a needed surgery because HR is incapable of filling out proper forms to health care provider. If employee is having a bad day on calls they are sent home without pay, which makes no sense the employee that need couching and practice are deined the very practice they need, so needlessly to say the turnover rate is sky high.If your company is looking for a call center look some where else.

    Advice to Management

Train employees well give them tools and trust them to do a good job.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the people who work for the company are nice.

    Cons

The company tends to run the employees on the production floor like they are robots. The pay is inadequate to live on; new information introduced almost daily with no training; employees are given unrealistic goals to try to attain with little to no support. The company expects you to work mandatory overtime everyday and still asks for more overtime. Pay is based on surveys and other almost unattainable goals. The facility is not properly cleaned on a weekly basis.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like they are valuable. More training! Provide a corporate identity that actually cares about the value that employees can contribute. Treat employees like they can contribute something of value. Create an atmosphere that enables the development of employees. Trained and happy employees will want to contribute superior customer service.
