Approves of CEO

Pros

Based on diversity, many different perspectives are shared among staff creating a workplace of dynamic problem solving.

Cons

At times, senior manegement does not have a clue on what goes on for the every day foot soldier= on the battle line. When decisions to downsize are made, it clearly appears that there is no ryhme or reason on who is let go.

Advice to Management

Listen to your people doing the operational work giving it their best shot on a daily basis. Ultimately, these people will make or break your organization in the long run.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

    Good name on your resume
Good work / life balance (although this varies by department)
    Fairly "stable company"
    Good quality of people

    Cons

    Management is clueless
Management bonus is no longar calculated on revenue growth
Xerox has been unable to achieve organic growth and is growing through acquisition (poor go to market strategy)
No salary increases in the last 3 years
Lack of accountability from Sr. Management (some get rewarded for poor decisions)
    Very poor HR processes

    Advice to Management

Start employee surveys as we did in the past, as they are the only way in which you will listen to what your employees are saying. Invest in your people (salary, training, ability to travel) as without them, Xerox is dead. When employees complain to HR, DO SOMETHING about it. Fire bad managers.

    Cons

need to change upper management. they don't know how to appreciate the talents they've got. always let go the wrong people, productive people.

    Advice to Management

Learn their technical stuff before learn how to lead others.
