I have been working at Xi3 full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great downtown location
Wonderful people to work with
Good product
Professional and fun regional managers
Startup company with flexibility

Cons

Every sales rep is a temporary employee for a year (regardless what they tell you). As a temp:
No benefits
No parking
No security
No PTO
No vacation pay
No access to the building
No commission (until proven worthy)

In the hiring process they tell you great things and expect a lot. To receive the benefits and get hired on as an employee, you have to prove your loyalty and trust and hope you can stick around long enough to see it happen.

Advice to Management

Expect employees to deliver on performance, and you deliver on your side with basic employment needs.

I have been working at Xi3 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been working at Xi3 now for over a year. It's a small, close-knit family from the managers to the staff. We work hard on our products, and it's been very satisfying to be able to go directly to the CEO with ideas (I haven't worked anywhere else where his office was 30 feet down the hall!).

I enjoy working with my direct team especially, and my manager is very laid back. The environment is work hard and play hard. I've put in long hours at times, but my manager has my back and I appreciate that when it is needed (for my family).

    Cons

Sometimes I'd prefer less meetings. I guess you get that at every company, but I find myself itching to get back to my desk.

    Advice to Management

I'd like to see the CEO spend some more time over with us in our department ... kind of difficult I know, but since he developed our products, I'd love to pick his brain and get a better idea of how he thinks. You're a smart guy, please spend more time with us!

I worked at Xi3 as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing at all was good about this company.

    Cons

Everything was bad and wrong. The management didn't know how to lead let alone manage. They were dishonest in how they treated "employees". Very few people who worked there were actually employees. Most were contractors and you didn't find this out until the day you started. No room to really move up, low pay. There is a reason why the company went under

    Advice to Management

Take management courses and then learn how to manage people, products, and money.
