Approves of CEO

I have been working at YMCA part-time (More than a year)

Pros

The shifts were nice hours for a high school student and it was a nice experience working with people from the community of all ages.

Cons

The pay was minimum wage and the shifts were 3 hours long so this would not work with all lifestyles

I have been working at YMCA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Free Gym membership
Make a difference in the community
    Retirement is amazing
Free programs for your family and children (if you have them)

    Cons

Poor upper management does not have a sense of how to grow itself.
    Low salary with high demands.
Expected to do above and beyond with little and nothing.
    No recognition.
Cuts hours for great part time employees to save a dollar. management reassigns duties to already overworked full time directors

    Advice to Management

Open eyes to what is actually going on within your communities. Your employees are your community as well, take care of them too.
