I worked at YMCA as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

Work with great people from all over the world in a fun environment. Get out of your comfort zone and experience new challenges. Make friends for life.

Cons

You do not get payed that much when considered how much you are actually working. It is basically a 24/7 job while you're at summer camp. Working with kids can be extremely frustrating at times.

I have been working at YMCA part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    discounted family membership
could work another job along with this one

    Cons

pay is very low. depending on your department you could work only an hour a day.

    Advice to Management

manage your teams. i dont feel that you interact with us enough. dont ask us to do something that you yourself is unwilling to do. stop making us feel like crap for saying no to working extra shifts.
