I worked at Yahoo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great learning environment.
Opportunities to work on products at a scale that most other companies do not have.
    Great work/life balance.
Above average pay package, great benefits ( 401k matchingg )

    Cons

Promotion and hiring inside Yahoo! is now more or less a question of knowing someone, not of being the best at your field. Hopefully, Marissa will address this.
Most work is maintenance while developers and engineers wait for the next round of management changes, starting something new is guaranteed to being shut down as soon as the next reorg happens.
Politicking, backstabbing, no directorial and above direction, constant goalpost changing, cronyism.
