Pros

If you have a good manager who allows you to do your job, you can contribute to and build some exciting products. Perks and benefits are pretty good as well.

Cons

Sr management is slow to make decisions and managers constantly switch priorities to the hot topic of the day. The culture has become very risk adverse so prototyping or releasing beta products are incredibly difficult to do.

Advice to Management

Clear out the dead weight in sr management, focus on core businesses, and invest heavily in them. Allow business owners to take risks where appropriate and be willing to accept failure as part of the business.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Good benefits and free Espresso coffee. The cafeteria is good and sales tax is paid by yahoo. yahoo has great parties on site and off-site. It is fun place to work if you have time to have soem fun.

    Cons

Adhoc environment. No work-life balance. You will have soo much work and everything will change few days. There is hardly any process there and is a start-up environment. Management just dumps a lot of work and then you are just expected to get it done. You will end up working a lot during evenings and week-ends. Work is often under-appreciated.people skills.

    Advice to Management

Focus on business and also growing people.

Process-hostile. Reluctant to make tough decisions. Very short term horizons.

    Advice to Management

Pick what game you want to play and play it to win. Quit spreading bets so thin.
