I have been working at Yale University full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

excellent research resources (labs, library access, excellent faculty and students). Nice, small city oriented around the university. Great access to other metro areas in Northeast- Boston, NYC...etc.

Cons

Small city-setting may not appeal to people used to large metropolitan cities. Prestige and pedigree are highly (over??) valued among faculty and students.

I have been working at Yale University full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Amazing benefits package and competitive salaries.
Tons of paid time off per year, this includes more than four weeks of vacation/personal time, as well as holidays, recesses, and sick time.

    Cons

Limited opportunities for promotions or job growth.
People tend to remain here for a long time, limiting opportunities to move up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for internal job growth.
